Also in Osaka, and in the heart of the Umeda shopping district, Umeda Catholic Church has Mass in English every Sunday at 9 am (map). Climb the stairs to the 3rd floor. The church is also known as Sacra Famiglia. Nearest subways: Nakatsu, Umeda and Higashi-Umeda. There’s an excellent Catholic book store downstairs, open Sundays from 10 am.
St. Francis Xavier Cathedral at Kawaramachi, Kyoto, has Mass in English at 12 pm on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
