Our altar servers are our group of friendly and enthusiastic children who look forward to assist the celebrant during the liturgy of the Eucharist. Holding lit candles, signifying the light of Christ, along with the priest, they take part in the entrance procession. With due reverence, they set up the altar during the preparation of the gifts. They place the corporal, the purificator, the chalice, the pall, and the Missal on the altar. They assist the Priest to receive the host and the wine.
If your child looks forward to being an altar server, they would need to have received the sacrament of Holy Eucharist. Altar servers take part in preparation sessions, get-together activities and spiritual fellowships. We ensure a safe environment for our altar servers.
